Prim is an alternative-rock band, originally started in Houston, Texas and now located in Seattle, WA. The band self-released an EP in 2021, followed by “As I’ll Ever Be” on Coreruption Records, and now, the new single, “I’ll Drive + Golden Tooth” as their debut on Sunday Drive Records. Prim combines influences from 80–90’s alternative and indie-rock from the likes of Yo La Tengo, Dinosaur Jr and Sonic Youth. “I’ll Drive + Golden Tooth” is self-produced by Prim, and features vocals from guitarist, Evelyn for the first time. With a duo of vocals and fuzzy guitars, the band leans heavily on melody creating insanely catchy songs to drive to. Prim’s debut LP is out in 2024 on Sunday Drive Records.
